avoid carlisles too. the denman or green ball seems to be another good choice from what i have read on the rv forums

Just replaced my 1 year old Nankangs off my boat trailer, after a blowout and 4 other delaminations. I bought 8 Greenball Towmaster II Load Range E. 225/75/15 They run 80 psi @ 2840 lbs. So far so good. They do run cooler. Got them at Discount for $70 each.

I have also had good luck with the Denmans. I'll buy them again if I have the trailer long enough to need a set. I had absolutely no luck whatsoever with Carlisles. I replaced all four on a 1500 mile trip Idaho and back.Only two blow-outs with the set of Marathons I replaced them with. When they were junk due to weatherchecking-cracking, I went with the Denmans.
I have a friend with a triple axle toyhauler fiver that is in excess of 12k loaded. He runs an off-brand of 7.00-16 LT bias ply's, 10-ply rated, and has never had a flat in over 5 years of towing, fast and heavy. The tires look like junk, are as hard as a rock, but are apparently indestructable.

what is the benefit of running a bias ply on a tripple axle? why not a radial? is a bias ply better for sharp turning, stretching of the sidewall?
