Cruisin e-bay under "jet boat" as usual and there is a ton of offshore colorful gay-liners up for aution for unusually cheap. What the hell is really goin on here.

There has been a run on "100 mph jet boats", and currently is a shortage for sale. Have faith, they'll be for sale again soon. :p

I don't know about the boats, but their corporation's contributions to left-wing & anti-gun causes is one thing wrong with ebay.
My .02, of course.

I e-mailed them to make sure the prices were wrong and the only thing I've gotten back was finger wagging e-mails from e-bay about being careful about deals being done outside of e-bay . Now I'm real curious .

supply is high and demand is low mostly due to the high cost of gas. This same stuff happened back in the late 70's early 80's. It happened somewhat in the 90's and now the mid 2000's.
I've been semi looking at cabin cruisers (again), lots of them out there at some darn good prices. I'd like one to just leave on the Delta but damn, those places are wanting quite a few dollars to moor it.

I just cant believe the price on those things . There must be hole's drilled in the bottom of them.

There are some scams going on!
List some examples.
Last year, when looking for garden tractor, about half were scams. You can usually tell by the method of payment.

I just picked up my 1972 Carlson Glasstron from ebay, payed $2800, havnt thrown in water yet, however all Ive needed so far is a second battery, and clean the fuse block, corosion. Ive seen quite a few selling cheap, and couldnt resist. I wanted a jet drive, but wanted a little free board, to keep from swamping the boat.

Are you the guy who bought the brown CV-21 on there? I saw it on there a few weeks ago and was just wondering.

That would be me. Its my first jet, and trying to figure things out still. Like why there is a grease fitting on the back of the pump, where someone told me there is an oil reservour the needs to be filled before each time I go out. Please correct me if Im wrong, the only other maintenance I am to do is grease the front bearing, right? Havnt put it in the water yet, started the motor for 3 or 4 seconds. Trying to figure out how to get a few minutes of run time without damaging the pump on land, however no luck. Got her for $2,800. At one time it had a gale banks twin turbo motor in it, but I don't see any stress cracks or damage, just leftover guages. So far, new exhaust hoses, two switches in the dash panel, cleaned one fuse block, and replaced a bulb. Oh, ya: blew two fuses changing the switches! : :220v:
Any basic knowledge you can pass on would be appreciated!
