View Full Version : 30" Rims in the Trident booth...

We are showing at the Men's Luxury Toy Expo and Auction in Phoenix this weekend and are setting up right now.
The company building my new Escalade for SEMA, Lund Cadillac brought one of their creations, a $170,000 H2 to the show for us in lieu of mine which isn't started yet. The system on this thing is sick, and we will be showing our DVD on the entertainment system in the back of it.
Before everyone asks... those are 30" rims, and they are one of only three sets in the world right now. $30K for the set.
The show is at the new Cardinals Stadium and that place is totally bitchin! The place is gorgeous and they are giving free tours of the place for anyone who wants to come by. Supposed to be 100,000 people in and out of there.
This is going to be a fun show!

Questions.
1. Where is the front ramp?
2. Where is the blingy rims for your trailer?
3. Where is the lower swim step in the transom area? (The clear one)

Everyone involved in the booth thinks the H2 looks absurd. That much is obvious. But, on the flip side, the combination is absolutely magnetic. We have already had a pile of ball players come by checking out the Hummer only to find themselves in the boat. Bing Bing Bing.... winner. That is the whole point.
It won't tow on those wheels. The tires are too narrow. Show use only basically.
The truck is doing it's job however, which is to attract more attention than the boat alone will.
Glen, Brian is a pimp. I tried to get one of his Rhino's in the booth with us but logisitics didn't work out properly. I am definitely going to be building with him instead of the other. Thanks for the advice...

One-offs for the rims. I can't even imagine what they would cost...

Gotta drop dubs on the trailer....this is SEMA! Thought you knew Wes???
I could if I hated going to the river...
I wanted to use trailer rated tires and keep the total height of the boat low enough to get in my garage at home. The trailer has 14" rims on it for that reason. I needed enough sidewall to run over a curb if I had to, I needed a generic enough tire size to get replacements in Blythe, where I always seem to blow a tire and they had to be rated for trailer use.
Basically, I think the trailer is for carrying the boat around. I hate that it is a triple personally. I would much rather have a tandem for my use.
That being said, I will probably put some retarded rims and tires on for SEMA.
Remember, I am a boater. This sucker has seen a lot of miles. There is over 1000 hours on the stereo already and over 100 on the engine/drive.

I am still up to my armpits trying to deliver boat #2 here in San Diego. Things are grinding to completion though. Everything is kicking and screaming at this point.
Here are some shots of #2 though... We wanted this one in front of the Hummer for this show, but we will probably have it again for SEMA if I play my cards right...

That sucks we missed you! Shoulda called, I would have come right back...
It isn't that ridiculous when you see this thing... There is a plasma TV in back, crazy sound system, croc/ostrich interior, Brembo brakes, supercharger, etc... Custom paint throughout... All of the bells and whistles...
I am not saying I'd drive it around, but it is beautifully done, and was someone's dream car. Then, they built another! The original owner paid well over $200K for it said and done.
Remember, the rims alone are $30K.

They may have 30's, but these are one of only three sets around right now. There is a HUGE chance that these rims were on the car for some pictures and then pulled off. They are really close to undrivable. I know this set has made some rounds already.
Basically, the guy from MHT who makes them explained that replacing them would be "challenging" so don't get the truck ripped off. Maybe he fed me a line about the price, but I wouldn't run them if you gave them to me, so what do I know.

That boat is insane looking, first time seeing it from that angle. Beautiful gel coat and lines.

Wheels, I remember thinking when I built the first 17-18-20, I thought wheels would never get bigger.
Then 22-24......
Yawn,
All it takes is someone to build another set.
I'm not scared the least bit.
You want to blow everyone away with a set of 40's?
I still say we'll make a custom set for the Rhino. Trident brand wheels.

Monster truck tires are 60 something inches tall and 40 something inches wide... now that would be cool on a Hummer.
