Going to Tahoe next week. Anyone got any thoughts on great places to eat or out of the way things to do. Going searching for wood boats.

To be honest there are so may things to do its hard to start. Charter a boat for some good fishing, great hiking trails, numerous 5 star restaurants, biking, backpacking, gambling...geeezzzz the place is wonderful. You will have a blast. Im usually there every year for the 4th...this is the first year I missed. Have fun. SOme help I am! LOL

Head to Garwoods for lunch if you are boating. Have a few wet woodies. Check out the old wooden boats at the Sierra Boat Co. next to the restuarant.
Sunny side is a good one for breakfast. The beacon for some after lunch music. Have a look at The Thunderbird lodge. Check out skunk harbor. Sand harbor is nice. Fuc$ McPee's Irish Pub and stay away at the south shore.
Remember your anchor for the most part will not work in Tahoe. Depth 1645.
Jacques Cousteau said in the mid 70's when he took his film crew down to 900 feet in Tahoe. (The words not ready for what we saw in Tahoe) :skull:
