I need to send my prop out, and a friend suggested a shop in Texas, but I can't forget the name... Any ideas?

Been doing my stuff for years. I think a rehab for a 2 blade steel prop is less than a Benjy.

Thanks for the contact but I'm looking for somebody specific... He might not be in Texas, maybe his name was Dallas or something... Lets try a different approach, what shops are most dragboat guys using?

If you want to spend a lilttle more go with a digital propeller technoligies forged prop from joey grose.Wont need anything done to it ready to go out of the box. They will outlast a standard prop so worth the money in the long run

Dallas is the mans name. He owns Menkens propellers.
602-278-0908- cell.
If you are looking for him, then there it is. If you are looking for a prop, tell us what you do and what you want and that will really narrow down who and what you can use.

Is it just me, or is this thread sounding more like a George Straight song than a prop discussion.

Anyone know Dallas personally, I sent him a prop a couple weeks ago and I haven't heard back from him. I have left him a couple messages because we really want to run the boat next week. I'm sure he is just busy and I am not trying to flame him, as I have heard nothing but good things about him, but I would like to talk to run our boat next week.

Sometimes Dallas might get behind and take a while, but he comes through and does good work. I got a prop back from him today that I thought was toast and it looks like new. I hit bottom with it last year and bent and tore the blades. The blades are smaller now , but they look good.

I don't doubt that one bit, that's why I sent my prop to him in the first place, but like I said in my first post I didn't realize this trip was so close and I really want to run the boat.

Spoke with Dallas and he is going to get it finished for us for the weekend... I really didn't expect that, I figured we'd run it this weekend and then send it back to him, so I am very pleased to say the least.
