anybody think that a single 525 in a 26-27' Cat (4500 lbs??) will turn a 30 Bravo...in havasu heat??

Is this for you? I have a labbed 4 blade Bravo 28 you can borrow if you need to try it... :)

no..... I had a 22 ft cat that was a lot lighter that wouldn't wheel the 30 on a hot day... but if you don't mind the 15 minute plan time, I say go for it!! :crossx:
try the 28 first....

No, but a labbed 28 will work though.

I have a similiar size boat and it turns a 32 in the Havasu heat :boxed:

Hell, I had 34's and it came on plane in 5 secs. That's TOO SLOW.

please...not even in the same ball park speed wise...if I wanted to keep up with Miguel I would just beg Yvonne to take me for a ride with them :cool:

I started this thread because I wanted the opinion of the masses...
I won't name names yet but a certain CA boat builder delivered a new boat to some friends of mine saturday with a 30 on it...we pretty much figured that it was WAY over-propped (for sure after driving it :220v: ) and kinda wondered why they even bolted it on?? Did THEY think it was gonna work?
Or maybe they expected him to have no more than 10 gallons in it and leave his wife, daughter, friends and coolers on the beach all the time??

Definately the wrong prop...On the other hand, I might have to take you up on the Specturd boat ride. :)

How in the world do you get a brand new boat delivered with the wrong prop? For phux sake, why a 30 pitch on a 525?
