Anyone know why this loader isn't flat like my stock grate was? Are some 12JE boats curved like this?
I'm not really confident about just bolting this onto my flat mounting pad.

It should be flat. Might have warped when it was welded???

I'm going to have to try and straighten this one out. I don't want to wait for a new one. Should I use anything to "set" this onto the hull when I put it on? Silicone?

yep, run alittle bead on the outter edge and where the bolts pass threw it to seal em off.

oh, and use grade 8 bolts backed up on top with polynuts!! i didn't do it this way the first time and it cost me a pump overhaul kit because it came loose and broke up intake flow work, flow work trashed the impellor!

5/16" bolts!!!!!!
Drill out the mounting plate in the boat as well, and rethread to match the bolts, run them thru there, and then jan-nut them with nylocks.
I am running SS ones I got from Hi-Tech, and this was reccomended to me.
ANTI-SIEZE as well!

Thanks guys. I had planned to drill to 5/16", but I will jamb-nut too. Cheap insurance over buying an impeller.
Just wish I didn't have to straighten out a crappy part that is supposed to bolt on! :umm:
