I just replaced my shift cable. It is a little smaller in diameter than the one i had. Now my cable seal will not seal around the cable cause its to small. What to do.

Just buy a seal with a smaller rubber grommet. Go to McMaster (www.mcmaster.com) and do a search for "cord grip". You should be able to find one that fits your needs.

Sorry, i don't understand your question. I just cut two pieces of alum. angle and bolted them to the ride plate. I used flat head ss bolts.

Nah, mine doesn't have a ride plate. If I'm not mistaken, the intake has to be machined in some fashion for the ride plate to bolt up to it. I'd certainly like to look into it further, though.
As of yet, its pretty stable at a blistering 50 mph.....LMAO

I used silicone on mine. The rubber grommet that surrounds the cable looked pretty wore out, so I ran a little bead of it around the cable. Been ok ever since....
Or you could just leave it on the trailer like Oldbuck does. No worries there. LMAO

Shrink tube!
Comes in colors. Use a couple layers. Trim off excess when finished.
I don't mean over the top. Just enough to increase the size of the new cable to match the old.
ps.
Now that I think: it might work to put the shrink tube inside the nut and over the rubber/packing. Shrink it and run the nut up.
