Kankakee Regatta

Anybody been to the Kankakee Regatta? Looks like a big deal from the website, but you never really know. Hotels are sold out pretty much everywhere in the area. Just looking for some info on what to expect.

Its a big deal if you like to watch guys race around a circle The race it self has been taking a big hit every year due to the City getting greedy.If you don`t mind the drive going back north I 57 to Monee about a 30 min drive you can find some hotels there a little bit north of there is Rt 30 and there are alot in that general area.
