Well it is finally going together. That is why I have not been active on the board. I have been out of the water waaaay toooo loooong.
With a little luck it should be making noise by next weekend.
I can't wait to kick this son of a b**ch in the a** one time.
I believe in the theory - "Break em in the way you'r going to run em". Plus I am too old for long breakins. I'll be 60 in 2 weeks. Hell, I could kick any day now.

DD you are right, I am so old that it takes over 700 HP for me to get my rocks off.

L J,
Care to share your build up specs??? And how about HP expectations?
I may be building a 496, blown, alcohol motor over the winter and would like to know what you used.
Be good, Jim

You have a good idea. I think I will share my engine build. It seems like a lot of guys a reluctant to spill their guts about this kind of stuff for fear of looking foolish or telling their secrets or whatever. I will start another thread with the title "Project 496 Blower Motor"
