I stopped by Long Beach Yacht Sales today , to look at the 2004 Ultra 24'Steath they have . It has a 496 H.O. , Boat Bling engine cover ,most of the stereo. Good looking boat & trailer but ,they are asking $71,900 This thing is a repo. I'm I wrong thinking this is way to high ?

I sold my 2004 24 Stealth last year for $53k. It took over 6 months to sell. It was like new and had about 50 hours on the 496 Mag. In 2004 the Stealth was only about $55k brand new from Ultra. I bet you could get one brand new for close to that price.

I was hoping outnumbered would answer this for me . About 5 of my friends have bought boats or motorhomes from them ,none as overpriced as tyis . I had a very hard time not laughing in the guys face when he told me the price :crossx:

Heres a couple from the ultra site. If your really interested go talk to them. Your going to get waaaaaaaaaay better service anyway and a much better price.

You can get a brand new one for cheaper then that, I just did a few weeks ago. I also highly recommend the customer service you get at Ultra. No pressure, no up selling and most important no bashing other boat builders. :rollside:

2003 is the old hull. 2004 was the first year for the Stealth 24'.

Is the new hull better than the old? What are the differences?
I checked out the 24 Stealth(new) and the 247XS(old), and personally I liked the look of the 247. I didn't get a change to test a 24Stealth in the drink.

Can't remember what brand exactly but, you should see if Phat Matt is still selling his 24'.... It is / was in great shape, nice stereo, etc, etc. And it wasn't 71k....

247 hull was the DCB extreme mold which was an eliminator hull which now is a lightning and genesis. Actually you have either the 24 or the 23 don't you?
The 24 Stealth is a new design as JW designs all his own boats now.
As far as one being better then the other I think it depends on what your looking for. If your looks for more interior room and the nicer ride that comes with being a bigger wider boat then the Stealth it is. If your looking for a sleaker boat that has a bit quicker acceleration and top end then the 247. If you ask me then the Stealth has the best of both worlds. However, some people really dig the 247 mold and wish JW still built it.

I think so but not by a whole bunch. Were talking like a few mph maybe. See that's another difference. Yours has a molded swim step and mine doesn't. Makes for more room in mine. Makes yours not as long which in turn is less weight and faster.

I worked with them back in my repo days, when ever they want to keep something i.e. cars, boats, planes, ect that comes through there lot they will over price it until the legal lowers the price to them.
