ST. PETERSBURG, Russia -- About 150 people holding blow-up dolls jumped into an icy Russian river this week.
It was the fourth annual blow-up doll rafting championship, held near St. Petersburg on the Vuoska River.
The race also was known as the Bubble Baba Challenge 2006.
Participants were required to brave the Vuoska River rapids for 1 kilometer, or six-tenths of a mile, while holding their blow-up dolls.
Some doll owners put T-shirts over their partners for modesty's sake.
