Jim Ermshar passed away last night at home, funeral arrangements are pending,just thought y'all might like to know about this.

THIS WAS A MAN I GREW UP AROUND WATCHING RACE. I HAVE LOOKED UP TO HIM MY WHOLE LIFE. MY FAMILY'S THOUGHTS AND PAYERS TO THE ERMSHARS.

this is a terrible loss to the drag boat racing community. the Ermshar's were and i'm sure Don will continue to be people to be looked up to by all of us who are involved in this sport. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the whole Ermshar family. There is so much that could be said in praise of this families improvement of drag boat racing over the years i wouldn't even know where to start.

Tony, Drag Boat Racing, especilly in the Flat Bottom Class has lost a great Competitor and an ambassasor for the class and sport in general, Jim will be missed, my thoughts and prayers are with the Ermshar family.

jim was a good man took time to talk to people no matter if he was in a hurry or not met him 4 years ago, soory to see him him go like that

Wow, what a terrible shame, we lost a legend in drag racing, also one of the nicest people in the sport, he will be missed!. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family!!...

My thoughts and prayers to the Ermshar family. A great part of my love for V-drives was due to rides they gave my dad and I on the Parker strip in the early 70's. Illusion and Ivory Hunter started my passion for Sanger bubbledecks. The sport has lost a class individual.

Wow what a shock, our drag boat racing family has lost another legend. He lived his life doing what he loved and was very gracious to everyone while doing it. He will be missed very much, our prayers go out to the Ermshar family. :( :( :(

A big loss to the drag boat racing community. A legend in the sport and an ambassador of the sport. He will be missed. My condolences go out to his family. :( :( frown

My condolences as well to his loved ones. He seemed extremely nice...God must have needed a legendary boat racer at this time and He picked one of the best. frown
