This weekend i decided to put my rail kit in. Boy what hell it has been, nothing like trying to get heavy ass motor at the perfect hight and angle and then keeping it at it. Then measuring and measuring and then crossing your fingers that your cuts are right. My install isnt done yet and it's not the cleanest but so far i'm pretty happy with it. Before i drill the holes in the rails i want to see what you guys think of my drive line angle/position. It's pretty damn straight right now buy the looks of it which i know some of you say go straight and some say have a few degree's in it. Anyway what do you think, i need to shave maybe 1/8" off the front plates so they sit flat on the rails (for some reason the bottom plates are angled) so that will change the angle alittle bit.
here's a few pics of the drive line, How's it look?

And here's all the pics leading up to where i'm at now...
First thing i did was duplicate my motor plates onto cardboard so i could trim the cardboard to figure out what needed to be cut on the real plates.

Clamped the rail's together and drilled the holes..

3:00AM and i finally got the rails in... a big problem i had was that my stringers are a bit short and my motor sticks out too far. My old mounting system used a 3 point mount so it wasnt a problem then but now it is.. I had to let the rails stick out a bit further. They are sticking out further than they need to be, i will trim them down once i finalize where the motor plates will rest.

Here's a pic of the front motor plate that has a slight angle.. this is where i need to take out a 1/8" or so to square it up.
