I had a new 2005 300X I had 37 hours and broke the crank. Merc. sent a new block I was told to run it between 3000 and 4000 RPM the first hour and not much idle time. I have 4 1/2 hours and it seem to pull fine to 5000 but then slowly comes up to 5600 then I run out of lake. It use to run up to 6500 with little effort. Any ideas?
Thanks

if i can remember correctly , the comp needs to click off 2 1/2 hrs of underload conditions so if your boat is light or you are trimmed up a little it's not clicking off time !! tuck it in and run around like that ,put some big bodies in it and that time we'll melt off! TUNNEL T

Thanks I'm going the check the throtle cable and be sure it opens wide tonight. If it does I'll ride it for another hour I don't have anyone to ride right now so it will have to settle with me I'll trim it down. I hate to drag it back to the dealer.

Not sure, but your computer is already broke in, it does not know there is a new block or crank in there. Take itto the shop that rebuilt it for ya and ask them...
