Got nailed by a rock (nice little chip) on the 40 heading to the river Friday. Put the sunshade in the winshield and had a 6 inch crack on Saturday afternoon. Was considereing a repair over a replacement since the crack is in the top right corner of the W/S.
Any thoughts or suggestions on who to use? Do repairs look decent? I'm in the Rancho Cucamonga area.
Thanks

I once had a 6" crack in the windshield and took it to a glass shop and had them fix it. It came out great and could not even see where they repaired it unless you are looking really close. They only charged me $30. Saved me $200 by not replacing it.

I would get it repaired for now. I have had numerous cracks/chips repaired over the past several months on my daily driver.

Seems us boaters have a common problem with getting our windshields cracked up :).

Do you think they can fix this. It's a 32 in long by 1 in thick piece of big rig road gator. Got kicked up by the Porsche in front of me on the freeway.

Jason at Extreme can make it to Corona, if you haven't already called him.
Nothing local. Guess I will have to take blind leap at the yellow pages!

What about an old 1975 dark tinted boat windshield. I believe it might be plexi. Was in perfect shape until this summer. Now I have a bad crack right in the middle. (No jokes please)

Call Wilkes Marine 714-540-8908 they have a good person that can make a new one (keep the peices you have so they can patern it off that). Some people say Wayne Earl, but they wanted twice as much and was going to take 4-6 and really didn't sound interested (as they are more into manufacturing for production boats). I got mine done in 1 1/2 weeks.

You guys should live in AZ.
If you have full coverage you can get the windshield repaired or replaced with no deductible, no out of pocket, and no dings on the insurance record (i.e. higher rates)
State Law requires it.

Geez!!! rub it in Boatcop!!
Jason does not go past Corona, so I used a local "crack repair" place I found on the internet that's down the street. 69.99 came out OK.
