Those are horrible news. Obviously for the family of the deceased and I'm sure for Lane as well.

If he was DUI and killed the motorcyclist I hope they treat him like anybody else.

Hells Angel Steve once mentioned Lane's a Meth head deluxe. They wouldn't let him ride with them.

I agree totally, he seemed like a dirt bag. I don't know how he won the biker build off, his bikes looked like crap, I truly think it was rigged, Bourget's bike was beautiful.

Here he is with my wife at Laughlin '04. He was very cool to talk to. Still, if he's guilty of what they're saying, he needs to go away for a long time.
All that I can think about is the dead guy's family...

i always thought he was an asshat. after seein him on biker build off, he just got done completing a bike, slammed back some jack daniels & was off on his test ride. he should have known better being he is a cyclist himself. crossin a double yellow on a bike is quick & knimble, but that whored out 2 ton dodge crossin a double yellow. jeeeeeez.

That was a dumb ass move, it reminds me of people pulling stupid shit on Rice Road. Sorry for the victim - let the dirtbag fry.

What really sucks is just maybe this guy he killed, probably at some time stoppedin to Lanes shop maybe talked with him, and even thought that Lanewas ok, only to be killed by such a junkie stunt like Lane pulled off, what a ****ing assbag, I mean come on all of us here do our own costome stuff to our boats im sure if we all had the cash we could build a bike, his only real claim to fame is his hubless wheel,GEEZ roll out the red carpet, NOT!!!!!

If what happened could in any way be called an accident, I would say Billy was a victim of some serious irony. Seeing that his direct actions caused death of another he is just a plain loser.

first off, my heart goes out to the family of man that was killed in the accident. second, i hope they jam billy with everything they can if indeed he was "tanked" when this happened. i'm betting his bike building days are over. the title of the second newpaper article just seems a bit odd the way it's worded to me, "chopper builder injured in fatal crash". it almost sounds like the priority of the arcticle is on billy's injury and not the fact that another man was killed.
