Anyone in need of a new Clay smith fuel pump. I ran into some clearance issue's with my front motor plate. I am going to get a Racepump instead of cutting the plate. I also have a #8 Bipass and some alluminum fuel rail uncut. Let me know...John

Hey John some of those parts look familiar :rollside: Hey I have another timing cover here from RexMarine if you want to try it. Don't know if it's worth the shipping to try but the offer is there. Cale

Let me know how you do with that pump. I couldn't get one to work on my boat. It did scuff the cam though. After several modifications, test runs, etc, we could never keep pressure under acceleration.

Thats Great to know...Maybe I wont get one...Any other feedback...Dont like that Scuff the cam issue either...I have alot invested in this motor, do not want to see that happen! Maybe cutting the plate is a better idea???

Cale you dont like this one?
Thanks anyway, But this one will do. I just sealed up the oil pan, plus yours is probably not for a V-Drive

Have you considered an electric pump? Weldon came out with a HP marine pump. Their stuff is bullet proof, and correspondingly expensive. Check out Weldonracing.com for info if interested....

I'd just notch the plate and run the CS. But that's just me :)

Ditto. I made a small mod to my plate and now run the Smith pump on a 475 Chevy. Couldnt be happier.

don't understand the skuff problem. the pump does'nt rub on the cam the push rod does, plus race pump requires less force to operate. maybe you should be looking at the pushrod. have had issues with race pump myself, but it did'nt hurt my cam
