I'd have to agree that Bunny's place would be high on the list. :p
I prefer to camp, so I can offer some camping type suggestions.
If you plan to stay in a motel, watch out for tweaker locals that like to rip off anything not bolted down. ---keep a close eye on your boat.

I asked for DECENT places, not tweaker shelters.

We stayed at the river road resort a few years ago...intresting place, they had just sprayed for bugs and the grassy area in the parking lot was "waterbug" haven...friends that went with us called it the roach motel...BUT that was years ago
the deck over the river is pretty cool though

Needles has little cabins they rent. They are just a bed and AC but they are clean. I think you have to bring your blankets also.

Do NOT! Stay at the roach motel  Totally Gross....If you're looking for camping, Park Moabi is just down the road :)
Hey, where can we launch around Needles and NOT have to buy a new prop....
:D

Camping isn't an option. We wanted to be close to some friends that are staying at Park Moabi. Looks like I might just be staying at the Avi and drive the 20 min each day. No biggie.

We launch our 23' at Needles Marina and have never had a problem. Sometime the water is low but you just have to pay attention. Jack Smith is just down the road a bit south. I heard the they dredged it a fw years ago.

We use to stay there all the time, it was cool because you are close to the water and bathrooms, which they always keep clean too. You do have to bring your own blankets and call ahead, those cabins are always reserved, we use to reserved them a year in advance.
