i've got a 73 Sanger shovel "ski" hydro (can be seen in readers rides) that has lots of power, turns 7,000 RPM,but takes off like a slug. seems to have a good top end but have never been clocked so unsure of exact speed.i'm running 15s in the box and a 2-blade prop that has the markings"stelling"....11-16...F47875.it's time for a new one so need advice. is the prop my problem???? i'm running a 427,12:1.big heads,tunnel,750dominators and it seem's the only way to get it to leave decent is to jack the timing up but we all know what that leads to.boat is heavier than most.any ideas??

HYDROPLANE IF You realy do have 15% in the v-drive and your prop is only 11 inch dia, then you should be able to pull that pretty well. Your engine must not be making ANY power at the bottom.(is your cam too big for your motor combination?) Those large ear Stellings props work OK. You can send the prop in so it can be checked and know just what it is. But there is no problem setting you up with the right prop and combination. TOM @ MENKENS V-DRIVE 530-885-0531
