Ok all you experts, do you believe this dyno chart is realistic?

I found it here. (http://www.strokerengine.com/EdelbrockCombo.html)

My buddy is running the same combo except the cam. Hes running the 502 502 hp gm roller and his 21ft caliber1 hits 75mph no problem. Cant remember what prop he,s running. Looks like a good combo.

If it is, that's a great torque curve. Did it mention compression ratio and fuel needed?
Darrell.

So how much HP would you loose running aluminum logs?
I wonder how much HP the heads are worth compared to iron square port heads?

That exact setup DD gives me 514 @ 5500RPM into large tube headers.
542lb torque at 4500RPM. I didn't record the head flow data tho, file was already in the program.
433HP from 5,000 to 5500 into 'HP manifolds w/ mufflers, which seems to be pretty close to the logs.

So the logs actually cost 80 HP?

I can tell ya they cost me 50, before to after my Lightning headers & 4" outlets. Moderate 454 Mk-IV.

SS, what does DTDyno show if you use "small tube headers w/ mufflers"?

Call it a split in the middle,
RPM ....HP ...Tq
4500 - 446 - 521 (peak)
5000 - 485 - 510
5500 - 493
6000 - 478
Had to build it again, guess i didn't save it.
My entire numbers came up slightly off this time from the last, but not off a lot. I wonder if I had the cam in quite right the first time.
Large tube headers, 519 HP @ 5500 / 537 LB @ 4500
HP manifolds W/ mufflers 444HP @ 5500, 477 LB @ 4000 (473@4500)
HP from 4500 to 5500, 437, 444, 433
Is close all the way arround, I just wonder what's different.
This time I saved the build. LOL

I'm guessing the 496HO exhaust is more like the STHw/M than manifolds.

Yea, I'd suspect so myself.
