View Full Version : Bakersfield -Taffic incident/close call

We had a scary moment leaving BV Saturday. We were on the 5 headed south, just passed Bear Mtn. started to see a lot of dirt in the air, cars/trucks moving left and right. Suddenly coming the other way just outside the #1 lane was a person in a red Kia Sportage headed the wrong way going moving at a high rate of speed. The car was a foot off the yellow line :yuk: missing other vehicles by a couple feet
Hopefully they did not hit anyone or cause an accident.
Can you any of your Bakersfield residents tell me if they caught the person?

We left at 4:30 and no signs of any aftermath....Wow I could only imagine....

Thanks, coming from experience.
We ran all kinds of scenarios as we finished the drive home towing the boat.
Luckily he missed us and every car around us, no one panicked and swerved into each other, etc :yuk: could have been ugly :mad:

Ross I called 911 right away and the operator said a lot calls came in :rolleyes: we saw a few patrol cars headed that way after a fe minutes
