Actually Sigepmock's hatch was open showing off those bad@$$ speakers and brackets, coolest thing I've ever seen with underhatch speakers! Nice meeting you Chris, your Shadow came out way cool. I think I left a bottle coozie in your boat, if so hold onto it for me I'm sure I'll catch up with you again.

Nice meeting you too Chuck. Thanks for the kind words, I'm really happy with the boat and by the end of the day I was starting to feel more comfortable driving it. We had a great time hanging out with you guys. That Eliminator of HB's is sick...you guys walked away from us on the back side of the island like we were standing still :)
Yeah I have your coozie in the boat, nice pic on there BTW. We'll be back out next weekend....actually we'll be out for the whole week so if all else fails maybe we can go out to dinner one night and the the better halves meet.
Thanks again,

Did this guy in the Kachina just drive around in circles all day in the cove?
At Pleasant, all he ever does is make multiple circles around everone all day. He almost hit us twice in the water. Once we were on an inflatable and the other time he came damn close to our boats with people swimming in the water.

We made the same comment. All he did was cruise around like he was trolling or something...there was plenty of room so I didn't see him get close to anyone but none the less weird dude.

Hey now Chris!!! It's the checkers that give it that get up and go!!! They're worth an extra 5 MPH if you add them! :rollside: It was nice hanging with you and Ultra 26#1. Your boat came out friggin sweet! Gotta love the color cordinated fenders too! I love the way your buddy did the speaker mounts. Very clean job. I have a few pics on my computer at home. I'll try to remember to post them tomorrow.
John, I won't forget to take some pics of my buddy's boat and the wind deflectors for ya.

RD
RD,
It's a 1998/2001 33 Daytona, twin 600c/i Merlins with 10/71's. They were just completely rebuilt by GT Performance. They dyno'ed out at 965 HP with 980 ft/lbs torque. I'm running #5's with four blade 17 X 35 cleavers. The downside of the boat is it's weight. When it was at Lake X being dialed in by the previous owner it weighed in at 10,000 lbs. dry!!! UGH!!! This last weekend was the first time since the rebuilds that I have opened up the motors. I wanted to give them plenty of break-in time before pushing them at all. On Sunday afternoon we made several decent passes. The motors were banging the rev limiters at 6000 and we were at 115 MPH. I backed out each time to not hurt the motors. I need to re-gear the outdrives to bring down the revs, or find a reasonable set of Herrings, if there is such a thing!
