Wheels and tires maybe $325.00(about half of new or so?)I also have a Kuhl river rat water pump in nice shape w/a couple extra shafts $150.00 or so. I am going to post on Drag Boats but I figuered I tell everyone over here first :)

Dave, the wheels will bolt up to your trailer most likely.
They are a standard bolt pattern, forgive me, I dont know it offhand.
But one boat trailer to another will work.
As far as the axles, it depends on the width, does your boat ride in between the fenders or up on top of them?

Most trailers I've seen use 1/2" studs, same as Ford but have the 4-3/4" dia. pattern [Chevy] I was told that is "heavy duty Chevy" Is there such a thing?

Most of the larger tire places have ones made out of paper that they can give you to check it .....

Dave , the fotografix trailers used 5 on 4 3/4 pattern. To be safe ,put a cardboard on your hub/studs and tap it with a soft mallett.Take the print with you to check against the wheel's pattern.

I think 4 1/2 pattern were more common with the smaller [dragboat types], aka our catalina dragsters.

Well, Hi everyone!I left for awhile and look what happened :) I'm sorry but I promissed the fenders to a friend. The wheels are ford car pattern, 5 on 4 1/2" which if you measure across your studs, skipping one stud, then it should measure 4 1/4" / center to center / for what is called 5 on 4 1/2" pattern. Chevy measures 4 1/2" /center to center/ skipping one stud which is called 5 on 4 3/4" pattern. A little confusing but it works. As far as the axles I can get a flange to flange measurment and a spring pad to spring pan / center to center/ measurment for anyone interested.

Yeah, I know your # were close enough for a Stanley tape. When I was working in the fab shop this guy would send me dims like 24.5634". I would tell him that I'll lay it out with a soap stone and cut it with a torch so to the closest 1/8" would do.

Hi Boat Junkee, The axles are 85 9/16" flange to flange and I think about a 4" drop? I can get an accurate measurement for ya if you need? Let me know, Thanks , Mike

talk to you soon.

Hey Marty, Are you going to CFW..Did you get the NOS installed.....

Brendellaracin
12-17-2002, 10:50 AM
Hey Sangster,
No we didn't get the NOS installed yet. After blowing that head gasket on the last outing at Berryessa in Oct. We pulled the heads off and have not touched it since. :( I have to get the block decked and some work on the crank anyway so we decided to take our time and get everything done now instead of rushing things. We are hoping to get up to CFW on new years but we have a big family commitment that night, but we're still going to try.  With all the talk that's been going on it should be lots of fun.
See ya!

Hey Mike,
It's cool don't worry about it, I have not made up my mind what I'm going to do but I know those heads and that was a good deal. Still not sure wether to go with my same heads and the blue bottle or new heads and much higher compression  Now that things are finally settling down here with us it's time to concentrate on the boat agian. We hope to make it up on the first, so hopefully we'll see ya then.
Marty :D :D :D

Hey Bad Meds, If you still have the axles, wheels and tires, I am still interested. Just had to get through the holidays. I have a competitive trailer for a flattie. I think the hub to hub measurement I am looking for is 86". What kind and size of wheels and tires do you have?

Bad Meds
12-30-2002, 11:33 AM
Yes, I still have it all.The wheels are a chrome steel wheel w/round holes w/indented tails coming of them.I think the tires are a 205/70/14 but if you want tonight I will measure the axles exactly now that they are out and give you a brand name and size of the tires and also take a pic of the wheels/tires. The wheels/tires are like new.

That would be great. If you can, PM me with that info and send a price. Also can you give me the measurement of the tube size of the axles I would appreciate it. Thanks.
