When it comes to cams, everyone has an opinion, what's yours? I'd appreciate your experiences with roller cams for blower motors, good and bad, and any tips. Various engine builders have reccomended 652 to 730 lift, 100 to 114 centerline, etc.
Info:
I use this engine strictly for circle racing, and operate the motor between 4800 and 6500 RPM; 21' daycruiser, motor is a 496, dual 1150's, magneto, 8-71, RHS heads, 8:1 static compression ratio, 110 leaded race gas, large tube dry headers.

operate the motor between 4800 and 6500 RPM;
if you are not gona turn the motor any faster than that, you won't need one with big time duration----somewhere around a 290 gross duration and lift around .650 to keep things easy on valvetrain, on a 110-112 centerline should give you plenty of performance

My favorite blower cam is mid 640 lift
mid 250 and mid 260 @ .050 on 114 LSA
That is my hydraulic roller grind and I run solids on them occationally. They pull well to 6,800 RPM.
But can grind it for solid and make it 112 LSA if needed.
I'll be glad to share the DTD file if anyone wants to try it.

I'll attempt to put the cam file up. It will have to be saved to your computer and then used in DTD.
Not claiming this is the best cam in the world but it works well for me.

A custom Comp Xtreme Solid Street roller grind is what you may want to look at. Soft ramps, really strong .200" numbers and lower lifts (around .660"). Just have it ground on the 8620 core W/iron gear for longevity. About $315 jobber.

Which RHS heads? With your combo's CID and the rpm you want to turn the cam is not going to be all that big. Realative short duration, moderate lifter velocity rate, mid to high 600 lift range.

I have a set of RHS's Pro Topline cast iron 360CC intake, 119cc combustion chamber, 2.30" intake, 1.88" exh.

A 360cc head on 496inchs with a Huffer. . .hell we just need to crack the intake valve open to fill those cylinders to 6500 under boost. It will need a small camshaft. Your induction is way overkill for what you need but luckily your a blown application so a very mild cam profile is what will be needed.
