What is the difference between a bravo I, II, and III drives? I know that a Bravo IX is better than a bravo I. I also know that a Bravo XR is the shiznit. what the deal with the Bravo II and III?

Bravo III has counter-rotating props that 'improve' slow speed maneuverability and aid in the holeshot if the boat is on the heavy side. Downside is when you wreck one prop you wreck both of them and if I remember correctly it is ~$1500 to replace them.....

The lower unit is larger and will handle a larger diameter prop on a Bravo II, recommended for boats under 55mph.
