There are some pretty nice late model production boats out there, for that kind of money.
A very good boat can be had for 25K, IMO.

Just dropped the price of my Lavey XCS to $27,500 OBO. Very clean low hour boat for the money. There is a link in my signature below for more details if your bud wants to check it out.

I have a friend that is looking to sell his 1996 (or is it a 94 I will find out) 26' Formula Bowrider. It has a 454, bravo III boat runs strong. I think he is looking to get around 25k for it. I will post some pics if there is any interest.

I know a guy that has a 1995 Howard 22' Offshore open bow with a 502 in it
and the boat looks a year old. Extremely clean and well maintained. He would
like to get a bit more than $25,000 but you're welcome to call him if you want. I think $29,000 is more in his comfort zone? The Howard 22' Offshore
is a very deep boat for it's size and has a nice soft ride and big open bow. Its'
as big as most 24 or 25' boats.

Keith,
Isn't that Dennis & Maryrose's old boat? If so, I can vouch that that boat is in EXCELLENT shape! Dennis babied that thing like he personally gave birth to it. It was a rock solid boat in rough water also.

Yes, Mr. Huckleberry that is their former boat and yes he did take great care of it. When I see a boat with an owner like that I always make a mental note
to keep an eye on it if it ever goes for sale because they're the ones to buy.

I haven't used it lately so I would like it to go to a good home and get some use. I'll even take $20K for it.

Search on boattrader.com (http://www.boattraderonline.com/advancedsearch.html) .
Pick his lengh and price range then put in his zip code and a range he's willing to drive to get it. Don't rule out older boats - there are many 10+ year old boats out there that are in much better shape than some just a couple years old.
