since my boats on a dolly i wanted to strengthen the trailer a tad. it flexed a ton while the boat was in tow. it was welded a few times prior to me getting it. i wanted a nice trailer i would never have to worry about. a few hours of bending and welding and here ya go......

the back channel wes bending out so i pulled it in and added some sliders so i dont have worry about dragging it. i was thinking painting it white whith black wheels and black or blue linexd fenders......hmmmmm heres a pic of the boat

I'd paint it blue with chrome fenders and some 17" Torque thrusts. White on tralers gets dirty real quick. Black wheels might look a bit rugged off roadish.

I can't go with the chrome fenders personally (polished stainless???? no, sorry) but I'd paint the trailer (fenders too) in a blue to closely match the boat. I think it would look sharp.
Lowrider (my avatar) sits on a silver trailer to match the silver seam-line and has a bit of red tape-pinstriping.
Chrome wheels (or alloy) are a must IMO. :) Nice job on the trailer. A buddy of mine's needs similar work to stiffen it, especially the droop-front center triangulation brace. His has none at all and the front flexes something horrid.

You have done some very nice looking work. I have a suggestion, though, regarding the two fore-aft tubes you have in this pic. Its hard to tell how far apart they are, but if you ever find yourself changing under water hardware(loaders, shoes) you will want those two bars to be spaced so that they are to the outside of the fins on the jet. That means a minimum of 8" plus a couple more for clearance when putting the boat back on the trailer, since they dont always go on perfectly straight. :)

Another thought, and something I did with my trailer, is to eliminate the loose harness pigtail. Put a wiring harness socket in the side of the trailer and then use something like a JetConnex (http://www.jetconnex.com) flex harness to connect the trailer and tow vehicle. Cleans things up nicely. Got pics of mine somewhere.

what would be really cool would be to some dzus tabs and some alum/stainless sheet with some "wings" folded up to match the hull -.5". It would keep stuff out of the pump while towing. You could use the wing head dzus deals for quick removal...
