Aw. Nice invite. I have been traveling almost every weekend of the last two months, otherwise I would. Time to stay home for awhile. If I by chance made another trip out, it would be for something special like the Absolute Regatta. No plans of that either, but I would do it on a whim if the wifey was up for it.

Haven't been out in close to two months, so I am not sure. I would say it will probably still be fairly busy, since it is the end of season push. I'll let ya know.

it's crazy the campsites are full but the boat action is minimal. we were the only ones in the float area all last sat. one other hot boat a commander making some laps, but for the most part dead on the water. should be the same this sunday:)

Sorry Dude. Not my idea. I was perfectly happy with Sat, but the others that originally had something going on Sat - cancelled their dealio and now want to go then. I would just say screw them and still go Sunday, but the Wife wants Sat also. I've learned not to argue with that part of the crew. :220v:

Damn, the wind picked up just before we arrived out there. Sat at the prep area behind another boat for 2 hours waiting for 30 mph winds to stop. Blowing dust and the wind was 90 degrees to the ramp. Gave up and turned for home. Wasn't worth the difficult trailering and wipe-down. PLUS, the whole crew bailed on me. It was just me and the wife. Oh well, next weekend.

I already had yesterday (Sunday) booked, helping the parents. It would have been the better day to go, but I was already committed.
I had only been out there one other time when the wind hit like this. We huddled down in the boat and it passed right over. Dusted everything off and continued the day. Pretty rare it gets this bad. I understand the Santa Ana's were blowing through. I doubt it helped the fire much.

Havi was not much better yesterday. Wind was terrible. We did not even talke the boat out. Today it is beautiful. :)

We didnt end up going out there today for personal reasons. We decided to go out tomorrow so went and took the boat out of storage to get it loaded up and ready. When got to the storage yard noticed a really bad gas smell. Tried finding the leak but no luck. So, loooks like we wont be out there tomorrow either.

Were the tanks full? did they maybe just purge a few times out of the vent(s)?

One tank was full. Not sure if they purged out of the vents. I boticed that the gas smell is really strong near the fill hose. I have a feeling the fill hoses are bad.

Nice day. Was 80 by noon. Still a little hazy, but very little wind. There was a maroon and white 23' Ultra deckboat out there running around also. They never came by to say hi, though.

had a good time at the drags. top fuel dragsters are crazy. when they take off it shakes the ground. definately a nice day for the lake, it was hot.
maybe we'll get one more warm weekend to go again.

Next weekend, Iwill be prepping for a trip to SEMA, so no boating. I don't know about the weekend after. Will have to see. Hopefully still nice.
