If anyone needs a block wall built in Havasu, I have these two guys that are building one for me right now, that were waaaay cheaper then any other bids I had gotten. They work fast, clean, show up when they should, and are great guys. They just broke off from working from one of the major wall companies out here, and they're trying to make it on their own.
If anyone wants contact info, let me know.

Not yet licensed. I gambled on them, and they came through great. Awesome work ethic, and great skills.
I had a 6'x45' retaining wall, 100' of 6' free standing wall, and about 50' of 3 blaock high wall built, with columns every 10' throughout. I'm putting wrought iron view fencing installed on top of the retaining and 3 block wall.
I will post their contact number later.

The guy that did our wall didn't have a liscense and there wasn't a problem.

The savings were worth it. The were were abot 30% lowere then any other bid I had.
And, unlike the licensed contractors that you could hardly get out to give a bid, and then if they did, you had to call them back to find out what it was, theese guys gave me a bid on the spot, and have showed up early every morning since.

I personally don't care if some one has a CL or not.( I know ppl that have been working 35+ years and never had one. actually most ppl I know that are "good" are not .) Just remember if they are working on your porperty and get hurt, you can be sued.( and you will lose.) Just a heads up.

How is the wall tied to the pilasters? Is there vertical rebar in the walls? Masonry ties how many courses apart? Work does look good.

There is vertical rebar every 4 cells (#4 in free standing wall, #5 in retaining wall), and there is 2 horizontal runs of rebar in free standing wall, and 3 in retaining wall. The retaining wall was built with bond beam block and the entire wall will be filled with cement, and the free standing wall will have every fourth cell filled (the one's with the rebar). All columns will be filled solid.
The columns and wall are tied together with the runs of horizontal rebar. The courses with the horizontal rebar run through the columns (bond beam block).

I would let them do it but a new house and the General contractor won't.

Zack is one hell of a contractor, somebody trained him wrong! He shows up when he says he will, he calls when something is delayed (even when it's not his fault), if he does forget to do something, he comes back and makes it right immediately. Todd969 can attest to these things as well. The guy just don't fit in here in Havasu. :D

Sounds like they are doing it right. Kool. Post some pics when it's done.
