Just some random pics....some boats, rough water and sunrises. No bike pics but we rode around the Lake and into Reno. No offense to members here but Reno is a shit hole. It sure has went downhill over the years. I also didn't get any pictures of the bears that were around. One ran right by SinCal after we had breakfast. Another one tore up a trash can on our parking level. I heard it but didn't have the guts to go check it out. I am back home now as I have a few things to take care of. Enjoy :)

alway chilly. You can't run open cooling system up there it will never get over 100 degrees. I seen guy pull the dome right out of the heads because of lack of heat in the heads.

Beautiful pictures! My sister lived in Tahoe for 12 years, and whether she liked it or not, her big brother came-a-visiting 3 or 4 times a year! If I could find suitable employment I could move there reeeaaaaalll easy!

another fine calm day in Tahoe... LOL
It was unbelievable that day. As I was coming out of the mountains all I could see was white caps on the lake and I had to go get a few pictures. I took a video but don't know how to post it. On shore it sounded like the ocean with the waves breaking and so forth. I did see a little boat (20') head out into it and I was thinking "OH OH"

Thanks. Tahoe is not the kind of water you hang out in but on top of :).
I have other pics of the water closeup and it would make for some very nice tile if it could be duplicated.
I plan on getting my boat up there at some point in the month of August. Right now it is getting a little cold up there.

Beautiful pics Tom, glad you got to enjoy the trip. I love Tahoe but I'm always afraid of the horror stories about getting caught out there in a sudden storm.
I was there not too long ago and was trying to remember the story about the old bomber they found recently, or there was a thread about it maybe? Anyone know the details on that and where it is, if its still there etc?

Um, well uh yea. But If you have room for some liquid courage in the form of Jello Shots and the invite is still open I'll go. :rollside:

LOL...29 Foot Shockwave.
I'm not ripping on Shockwave by any means but I was out in the center of Tahoe a couple years back in a 29' Shockwave in some seriously ugly stuff and I watched the boat crack before my very eyes. Again nothing against Shockwave any other boat would of probably had the same problems. It was just evil out there. It was 5'-6' chop not swells. We had our life vests on because we thought there was a chance we weren't going to make it back. My wife was crying and we had to stop a couple times because we got the wind knocked out of us from hitting so hard.

Well, to be out in 6 foot chop wouldn't be safe for very many boats at all.

No doubt about that. We went the length of the lake in calm seas, hungout and did some swimming and decided to go back at 4 p.m.....big mistake.

nooooooooo... not 4 p.m..... :220v: :220v: :rollside:
actually the wind is very hit and miss. I have had several very good days out on the lake without any trouble.
best strategy is to not venture too far from the launch ramp so you can make the mad dash back if the wind comes up.
the problems start when you try to cross the lake because it "doesn't look that far" LMAO :rollside: That lake is friggen huge. In the morning when its calm it looks like you can traverse the lake in no time. After you been driving for a while, you realize how big the lake really is. Then you get trapped out in the middle when the wind comes up and then its a big shiat sandwich that you have to take a bite of. :rollside: :rollside:
If I lauch in south shore I stay around the south end. and vice versa. :crossx:

:
Exactly! The first time we crossed it we drove for 20 minutes at a pretty good clip and it was like the shore was not getting any closer and to top it off your in water that is almost a 1/3 of a mile deep.
