I'm trying to look up what my truck would be worth if I sold it, but when I go to KBB, it freezes everytime I get about half way entering the particulars. If someone else could book it for me, or give me an idea what it is worth, I would appreciate it. Here's what it is:
'05 Chevy Duramax diesel 4x4 automatic
Crew cab, short bed
Predator programmer
Fully loaded model (LT?) with leather, air, Bose stereo, electric seats, etc.
BFG A/T 285's
Billet grill
Snuglid, with Bed Rug
Truck is in perfect condition, and doesn't even have a door ding, and has never had any problems. It has about 19k miles.
Right now just kicking around the idea of selling it, because I really don't tow much anymore.
Thanks

I have always used edmunds.com they have always been pretty accurate with pricing.

About 35k according to KBB
Thanks. Now, my next question for the masses, what would be a fair asking price, and then selling price? I'm from the school of if you price it right (I didn't say give it away), you will sell it.

Just double checked KBB should be able to get about 34k for it.

Oh yeah, I forgot, it also has a Magnaflow exhaust, tinted windows,
Escalade handles, and running boards.

Actually, we pay into our own retirement, but it's been since January, and they still haven't granted my medical retirement, and I've had four back surgeries, the last one being a three level fusion. They say it takes about a year for the process. So, it's a small fixed income, that's why I left O.C. for Havasu

Sorry did not know that. After talking with Mel and Dale and some other hose draggers I thought it was like 90% retirement.

I went to Edmunds.com, and it showed a really high value after I entered in all the options. I wish I could get the value it showed.

Where will your market be for that type of truck? Havasu? or park it at my house in the O.C. and I will give test rides :)

I would advertise it out here in Havasu, but if someone in Cali wanted it, I would work something out.

You know, I'm in the same boat. I have a 04 F-250 Harley Edition and it's got a very high book value. Dealers in AZ are selling the same truck from $39,999 to $48,900 and I can't get $36,900? And in most cases mine has more options and better quality aftermarket parts & accessories.
Good Luck selling!

I'm just thinking about selling it, but haven't made up my mind. If I do sell it, I will price it according to what the market will actually bring. I don't care what it books for, if I can't sell it for that. I really like the truck, and it has been awesome, but I learned a long time ago not to fall in love with a vehicle, and when it's time to sell, price it right, and then lick your wounds after you sell it.

How do you price according to what the actual market will bring? I've look at Autotrader, 4x4 websites, craigslist, KBB, Edmonds, etc and I'm easily under everyone else including private owners. I've actually been asking the trade in value for the truck! Not private sale or Retail?

I price what I think is fair to start with, and if it doesn't sell, I just start lowering the price until I reach a price that the dealer will give me on a trade in. If it doesn't sell, I just trade it in.
