Wally,
I haven't seen you post in forever. How did the boat come out? got any pictures?
As far as the dolly, you can use boards on end that support the boat at the strake where the hull is parallel to the floor, or do one up in the fashion that Wally showed off. The other thing that may be possible for you depending on your trailer is to just pop the fenders, wheels, and hubs off, mask the trailer really well, then drop it onto some furniture dollys if you just need to move it around the garage.

Chris,
The Boat... Where do I begin... I have been landlocked and drydocked all summer and it make me sick. About the time I was to finish the Gel, I was hit with some BILLS. Then it was a string of illness and injuries in the household that has held me back. Now that it is cooler I can get back in there and finish it. It will make it easier on me to re-do the tanks. I still have the original fiberglass tanks in the thing. They gotta go.
How has your project come along?
Walter

I was lucky enough to borrow one from a boat shop.
I told him that I would put new wood and carpet on it as it needed some repair. It works for both of us.

Wally,
Mines upside down collecting dust :) When I started sanding it was hotter than hades, now its cooling down, but I've got family stuff booked so there isn't that much free time. Buuuut I'm plugging along here and there. It will be on the water for next season.

I just graped some cheap HF casters ( 4" something like 700lbs each.) and some 2x4s. I basicly built it just like the trailer, I made bunks and then put up rights every 16" added some cross bracing. Its way over kill, I mean its not like your going to have it on the dolly when its full loaded. I suggest you build it slightly higher then the bunks on your trailer.( say about 1/2") That way it will go back on alot ezer.( getting it off is ez, putting it back on with out scraching it is hard.)

Here is a pic of my dolly. I got a couple of furniture dollies at Home Depot. 1000 lbs capacity each, and a couple of 2x12 boards. There is also some 4x4 inside that is attached to the dollies to attach the 2x12 to. I also made a 4x4 frame that attaches to the dolly, to turn the hull over onto for working on the bottom.

You can use mine. Nice drive to come get it though.
Buy the best wheels you want to put under it.
