I recently started posting on a diffrent forum (not boat related) and there was a whealth of info there too . I got the impression that you have to be a fockin lawyer to post there. After repeated attempts to post , my threads were deleted for one reason or another I'm sure.
So I posted another thread in the off topic forum about WTF is up . First reply was a mod. Of couse I'm the douche bag ,and we went back and forth . I'm not tryin to change the world , I just want an answer . In the meantime the thread turns into a pic posting contest.
I check it about a day later and thread has completely gone off topic and I post a single line about my original post with a :D no less and of course it got deleted . I could never in hundred years have realized how relaxed this forum is and how big of a stick those other guys have in there @$$. I just went back there and of course my sig line is gone and my beautifull avatar is gone as well . Not that I really care but how lame are they or am I.

Some people have been upset about the moderation of this site over the years but I can't think of a time when a moderator got out of control on a wild power trip.
Well.... OK... there was this one time when Havasu Hangin' was deleting every post topless made for a couple of hours. That was classic. :D
There aren't too many arguments over the interpretation of the rules. I would think that's where legitimate discussions might stem from but those discussions are pretty rare. Most of the colic I've seen revolves around signature size limits and the no porn rule.
By the way, why can't I have a 4000 pixel wide picture of a vagina in my signature? Doesn't Larry Flynt own ***boat and, therefore, this web site? I've seen The People vs. Larry Flynt so I am an expert on Larry's views and philosophies. I thought Courtney Love was great in that movie. Oh yeah... back to my outrage... I'm sure that if Larry Flynt knew the kind of oppression that goes on here, he'd have a Jewish lawyer fire the entire ***boat staff and put Riodog in charge of this site.

I think the general feeling you get from a forum speaks to the quality of people that hang out there. This forum is a great place to hang out. There is so much fun and positive energy in pretty much all of the threads here, there's no question it would be a ton of fun to go to a ***boat event and meet a bunch of these folks. Even our resident K9 ball licker, Hoolign, is an OK guy... in small doses.
When you hang out on a site that is uptight, I think it speaks to the quality of people there too. Who wants to be judged every second of every day? There are sites that delete a post if it disagrees with a moderator's opinion.
I really don't see a point in being outraged, I just ignore those sites and hang out here. Sure, people assume I'm gay because of the company I keep but at least I have a good time.

Notice concerning FLAMING....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For those not familiar, Corey and I founded Yotatech to provide a friendlier atmosphere free from personal attacks and flaming. Up to this point, we’ve been fairly successful at moderating the forum.
However, over the last few weeks we’ve observed and received numerous complaints from members regarding "flaming" and personal attacks from all directions. To address the recent flaming, we’ve decided to re-post some modified offenses and actions that everyone must keep in mind when using Yotatech. This pertains to everyone, including staff.
Three warnings to 30 day suspension:
- Inappropriate language (s-bomb, f-bomb, etc)
- Inappropriate links/images (i.e. pornography/etc)
- Inappropriate discussions (i.e. sex/illegal activities/software, etc)
- Non-threatening personal attacks towards other members or Yotatech Staff
Immediate Ban:
- Threatening statements towards other members or Yotatech staff (legal action included)
- Defamatory remarks to other members or Yotatech staff
- Creating duplicate accounts (both accounts)
This list is not all-inclusive and subject to interpretation by the Yotatech staff. In addition, as Yotatech grows and changes, so too will the document.
With regards to our staff, we feel we have a fantastic group of guys on staff. Moderators are an extension of us and it is their primary job to close or remove threads if/when they feel it’s not in the best interest of the forum. Although they cannot suspend/ban members, they do have the authority to contact individuals regarding any inappropriate posts and it will be our policy if you do not respond within a week after the initial contact and continue posting, the offending member’s account may be suspended for up to 30 days. If you should receive a note from them, please respond and show them the same courtesy and respect you show everyone else. They are here to make this place more enjoyable for you.
In closing, the staff at Yotatech wishes that this doesn’t stifle the thought or creativity in your posts, but acts as a “framework” to write a more effective post. We want to thank you for being a member and if you have any questions regarding this announcement, please feel free to PM or email me, or any of the staff.
Thanks,
Corey and Chris

Notice concerning FLAMING....
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For those not familiar, Corey and I founded Yotatech to provide a friendlier atmosphere free from personal attacks and flaming.
I closing, the staff at Yotatech wishes that this doesn’t stifle the thought or creativity in your posts, but acts as a “framework” to write a more effective post. We want to thank you for being a member and if you have any questions regarding this announcement, please feel free to PM or email me, or any of the staff.
Thanks,
Corey and Chris
