Yes or no?
Keep the discussion in the other thread, but answer "yes" or "no" here so "Later" can quantify the general opinion.

I say no. And what recourse will the company have if they do give him a bill? Are they able to get a judgment? ding on his credit?
I heard he only has a 480 FICO score anyhow so it won't hurt him much....jk.

Get the boat back, film it, and go to "Pimp My Ride" or something like that.

Well OK, as long as you did your reading first. I think the steering cable broke boat turned around and went in transom first.......bad deal but fortunately no one hurt

Yes , why should some salvage company be able to auction it off if they raise it ? I do wonder if the cost will far exceed the value of the boat :crossx:

The way I look at this whole thing is this!!!!
Have you owned a boat and had it sink to an easily recoverable depth?? If so, you can appreciate the ease of recovery.
If you have sunk a boat deeper than 75', than you know the difficulty of recovery.
If you have not been in either situation, who are you to judge??
Let the man do what he thinks is right. If you donated, be happy you were willing to help a fellow boater. If you are a naysayer, I hope you will not need help in the future.
If anybody wants to talk about this, my number is 530 320-0549.
I have been there and know the frustration and anxiety!!!!!!
Pretty good punctuation--- ASSHOLE !!!!!!
