ok, i have no v-drive experiance but i am thinking about using one on my turbine project. my question has 2 parts. first, what is the smallest angle v-drive they make,it will determine how much of an angle i must mount the turbine on. Next, can this drives handle the 1350 hp turbine?. i do not need the v-drive to shift(if they do that) i am running it back to a b-max so i will be able to shift from that. Any info from you guys would be great.

Not sure about angle, smallest I've heard has been 10. To answer the question regarding hp. If a v-drive can handle a top fuel motor it could handle 1350 hp pretty easily. I'd really be worried about the B-max.

Casale makes or did make a 8 deg. case.

They do make an 8 degree but you should try and stay with a 10 as gears are easy to find used. One can be built up to handle that amount of power real easy.
What kind of boat is this going in?

If you're going to run this vdrive in an endurance type situation, I'd consider using heavy duty gears. If it's for 1/4 mile blasts probably not necessary. just my .02 from what I've seen break over the years.
