He's asking about gear ratios...All DCB twin setups run 1.62's. I don't believe any have been built with 2:1's.

I've got them on mine.I just need to find a good starting point. I have 22p and 32p.So far the 22p will run 105 on a speedo and the 32p will run 95 on the speedo But i'm not staying on the gas.also tried 28p same as 32p. all the props are 3 blades and all get good hole shot.22p are insane out of the hole and mid range to around 100. I'm thinking that a set of 4 blade 24p or 26p would be about right.I heard that they mostly run the 2:1 on 28' to 30' offshore race boats with 32p Also that a single work great. But hard to find anything on twins.

Bkplesh - I believe most of the guys over here are running PM300's and 300x's, which run the larger 3.0l sportmasters. I don't believe those ratios are even available for the 3.0l case. 2.5, yes. Not a whole bunch of 2.5l twin guys out this way though.

You sure your props are marked correct as 22 pitch with 2:1 gears would have to turn over 10k rpm to go 105.

ran 28 skater with 2:1 gears for a couple years with merc 2.5 efi offshores. great acceleration ran about 100mph. lot a 28 skater race boats run that raitio. not as strong a gear set as the 1:87. though. good in rough water. boat has 300x mercs now better ride and faster with the 300x set up. 2.5s better in the slop. the 2:1 gears are fun i would run that set up again.
