Anyone out there (preferably local :boxed: ), have a junk BBC Closed chamber rectangle port head that is in unrepairable condition.....that they'd be willing to give away (or let go for like 20 bucks :rollside: )?

Yeah, I practiced on 350 heads before I cut any high dollar stuff. I just drove around to a few machine shops and asked them if they had any junk chevy heads. Every place had at least one pair.

No kidding. And it's a sloooooooowwwwwwwwwww grind.
That's why the aluminum ones are so nice to do, but then again, you can get into trouble pretty damn quick too.

yeah at least you can weld up alum to fix em, i would port match only (to gasket)on cast or it takes 4 ever :cool:
