I have a 2006 Magic deck with a 496 HO and a 24 prop. Looking to buy a prop to give me better hole power for skiers. Any suggestions? Thanks

I always noticed a pretty substantial difference going from a 24 to a 22 4 blade on my Nordic.. Even fully loaded (12 people and full of fuel) it would pop right on plane with the 22.. The 24 would take another 2 - 3 seconds for it to roll over in those conditions.

I have a Mercruiser Revolution-4 23" 4-blade (one hour use in mint condition) which I would like to sell for $275. Email me at billf@desertcom.com if you are interested.

I don't claim to be an expert, but I have the same boat/power combo you have. I went down to a 22 and was impressed with the low end performance. I lost very little on the top end. You might want to research trim-tabs, but the expense may turn you off. Mike

I have the same boat with a 525 and use a 26P for the usual cruising, but when towing I switch it to a 22P and it makes a HUGE difference with the hole shot & torque.

Same for me on my Lavey 24 NuEra. Also, tough getting adult skiers/boarders up with the 24 prop, but no prob. with the 22, and still don't have tabs. Def. lost some high end, but in most cases, w/people in the boat, 65 is plenty fast. Good luck..
