View Full Version : Kilo Record rules?

We are told that APBA requires a capsule in a flat to set a record. Is this true anyone? Thanks in advance.

In K Boat yes! In all other Inboard classes it goes by the class rules. When we got the K's back under APBA one of the negotiating points was that an "unlimited" K boat would have to be encapsulated thus why a capsule K is the only K eligible to run for the record. All other K's (non-encapsulated) have to comply with the engine and safety mandates agreed to in Ft. Lauderdale last year at the convention.

No, but the Lavey only needs block plugs installed IF the AOF SK class record could be set.
