How do you do it with out using the rudder to secure it from going from side to side or bouncing off the bunks when you hit a bump in the road????
On my flat, I loosely wrap a strap around the strut & hook to trailer.

On Mom's Barb Wire boat , there is a small bracket in the center of the transom that I assume was originally for a "pinned" chute. We just cross two ratchet straps and tighten them evenly, Keeps it on the bunks and away from the fenders....

My hydro creeps over to the right side every damn trip. I do my best to secure it in the middle but it always manages to get there.

Mine does the same thing, it's the crown in the road nothing you can do about it unless you tie it down in the back!..
