I was just curious who owns a Daycruiser and what do you have???
1976 Schiada 22 ft 454 Turbo-400 trans.

I have a Schiada 20'er with a t-400 the power has not been desided as of yet, Have 498 injected engine, 468w/tunnelram, 502 which I want to run a whipple twin screw on, but got to sell the flatbottom first, Anybody need a small Biesemeyer???
My dad has a 21'Schiada, 540ci with t-400, It's a nice ride.

Last Sunday was the third time I had my Schiada out. It ran really good.
How do you back these things up? I was in a marina and was trying to turn around. I was like Holy Shit. In reverse all it does is go straight. Is that pretty much the deal,Or am I doing somthing wrong?

Thats about all you can expect. If you want to turn in reverse, you had better get an outdrive!!

24 Spectra XL v-drive, 454 LS-6 .Dan Most V-drives suck doing reverse maneuvres .Your lucky that yours going straight in reverse. 89 21' Schiada River Cruiser running a T-400 and a Whippled 454 --- I just picked it up from Whipples place in Fresno yesterday!! Can't wait to get it to Berryesa to see the difference. I had to spend the last month in my buddy's tournement slug boat watching the fun boats shoot past us!
Used to run 18' and 19' big block jets, but now I'm old and the waters (Berryesa and Delta) are rougher with all the big boats going through.
Hell, I still can't move around the docks in my Schiada. But I don't give a damn once I get past the docks!

I have a 1983 21' Howard V-drive, bought it new in 1983. The latest motor is a 547 ci chevy with 10:71 Mooneyham, 2 1050 holleys, Canfield alum heads, flat tappet Clay Smith cam and Superchiller with lightning headers. I run a turbo 400 with 48% OD in the V-drive.
It's a great all around boat. Oh, my previous boat was a 74 21' Howard V-drive. There are 4 other V-drive cruisers in my area of VA.

A bunch of nice cruisers guys. Mine is 21ft with a twin turbo 460 BBC with full roller & intercooled through a T400 and a Casele with 29% gears. I want to redo my interior and get rid of the dog house. Any body know of a good interior guy in SoCal?

1973 19 foot schiada with 540 merlin with dart alluminum heads,1271 mooneyham,turbo 400,casale with 38% gears.Its a jet boat eater need to put some of the boys next door in their place.Plan on buying a intercooler next week.

Intense thanks for posting the pics.I live in santa maria I have been to Naci several times this year.I camped at the main marina wed.- sunday last week for the 4th. I usually hang out in the cantinas by oak shores west ramp.I am going back up the weekend after this one be glad to take you for a spin.I have some new pics to down load tommorow of the finished boat with the interior.Maybe you can post them for me tommorow.

I have a daycruser also. It is in a bunch of pieces now but that’s the way they all start out, I guess. Mine is a 21 ½ foot Wright pad bottom, molded in ‘89. I have an 8-71 blown, superchilled, 489 inch BBC, T-400 and a 1.15:1 C-500 to go in. A project you might say.
