I put a new wear ring and new billet aluminum impeller equal to a berk AA and I actually think I gained top end as well as hole shot. My speedo only goes to 60mph so I can't tell for sure on top end. Before the hose to the speedo leaked water on top end and it was GPSed at 70.??mph (atleast that's what the guy that had it before me said. Talk is cheap I know) But now it blows water out hard and it sure seems like it's got more. Maybe it's just me wishful thinking. I'm turning 5000-5100rpms WOT. I was just wondering if you could actually gain top end by going with bigger impeller.

Yes, if your old pump, impeller and wear ring were real bad, and the clearances were way off, that is very possible.

Crawl under the dash cut about 1/2" to 1" of hose off of the speedo tube replace back onto the speedo and secure with a mini ziptie. That should cure the leak. Nice to see another local person still hitting up the ponds. R.B.

I forgot to mention this is a 5 blade billet aluminum impeller I put on.

how much was the impeller. Where did you get it? Got any pics?
