The xh-511 is a T-deck Runner Bottom race hull that Hondo built. I think it was a 7/8 runner...
T Bag has one, he could tell you the runner height.
Hondo also built some "other" runner bottoms, like the one I have for sale. (5/8, straight deck)
But, none of the true flats are xh-511 hulls to the best of my knowledge...

The 030 is in fact one of the early experimental runners. To make a quick ex. they pretty much staked two cav plates in the ceter only and molded to the bottom of the boat. The ex. of the xh511 t-deck is experimental hull 5th revision of the mold the 11 is just one better that 10 and the t is for "trick deck".

Whats up Wally? Hows the house coming along?.......I had a 72 1/2 hondo 3/8 runner bottom but the center plate was not doubled like 030. The runners were exactlly the same.Good old runnin' boat.

T-bag, I've heard there is a difference between the xh-511 and the xh-511T. From what I understand, the 511 has the cav plates running to the outside edge of the hull. The 511T has the plates stopping short of the edge with the outside edge of the hull angled out. The 70 hondo straight deck for sale in the fourms looks like a 511. My hondo has the angled edges flaring out past the plates and I was told it is a xh-511T 7/8 runner. Anyone have more info?

The info that I recieved was from James Brendel now weather or not it is valid is another story. If anyone should know you would think he would but who knows.

Thats what mine looks like sangster. I had a conversation with Jim at high tech marine about getting the bottom worked on. He told me hondo made several variations of the xh-511. Thats when I learned that mine was the T model with a 7/8 runner. Lots of fast hondo 511's out there.
