Well, I tore apart an extra pump I had, just for chits & giggles. I wonder if a new impeller and wear ring is needed? Maybe a suction housing is on the list, too! :frown:

That was my first thought, too. But it has no play in it. I think it was replaced after failing, and the impellor wasn't. I also found the thrust bearing retainer is missing the step that pushes the bearing tight in the housing, and there are grind marks on the mating surface, as well. The shaft shows some wear at the packing ring area, but it is still useable, in my opinion.

Nothing a little speedcoat won't fill.. :) what are your plans for imp and wear ring combo? How was it to get apart? looks kind of crusty. Are you going with the new style seal? R.B.

It came apart with no problem. The bowl is still good. Reverse bucket was broken, nozzle was also broken.
