Member birthday notifications could have helped me avoid offering to be it for an entire year in penance for missing my friend's birthday. Come on isn't there some little button in the forum software setup that can be checked to show Today's Birthdays? :squiggle:

Well sure but maybe it's because he doesn't know exactly when his friend's birthdays are (since there's no indication on the main forum page as to whose birthday it is today) :idea: so he just announces it soon as it crosses his mind no matter how many times a year that might be for the same person! :D

Hells no! LOL! I hate damn chain letters ... I try my best to live by "do unto others" and also "don't do unto others as I'd have them NOT do unto me!" :D
There'll have to be another way unless ***boat takes pity on the plights of the un "happy birthday" 'ed members, and turns on the birthday notifier. :idea: :D

That's the problem.
When you've got 10K members, there are hundreds of people having a birthday every day. There would be pages and pages of happy birthday threads in the Sandbar. Sometimes you can have too much of a good thing.
Personally, I could give a rat's ass about my birthday. It's nice that Hooli thinks of me and all, but it gets to be a little much sometimes.
