So desergirl comes home and bought a few things for the dog this riding season. Flashing colar, blinking thing, ground leash, ect. those are all good ideas to keep our dog safe. So this is what I have an issue with................ She got the dog a sweater!!!!!! its an F''ING dog........Its born with a sweater!!!!!! She said they had some cute boots too.NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I just roll my eyes when my wife gets all nutty.
I will say that for the first few minutes the dog is haliarious how she walks when she puts on the shoes.

That is soooo cute!! I dont think Bean would wear a hat, but i might get her booties for the desert. There is sometimes glass and stuff in the dirt, etc..

My poor husband lives in a house with four girls and he feels the same as you....but after a while he just gave up.....our girls are always dressing are cats in there doll clothes.....p.s. he hates cats and lost the battle with are girls begging him for years for one....now two.....psssstttt lil' secret he likes them now!!
They also buy Halloween customes for are 90 lb dog with there own money because he refuses to do buy for it himself.
Small dogs need cute clothes...they aren't REAL dogs anyhow, they are part human... :p Now if you have a rottie and put a sweater on it...that's a bit silly...but a yippy dog, they belong in clothes...LOL :p

makai didn't really dig here sweeter too much. but they do have these really nice wool lined leather jackets now for the desert...comedy :boxed:

we get Molly cut pretty short sometimes because she gets KNARLY stickers stuck in her fur...anyhow, the groomer is always worried and tells us to make sure she wears a sweater...so I did this once and Molly looked like I just humiliated her infront of all her doggie friends...LOL...and when I took it off, she had matted fur on her legs from the sweater. :rolleyes: so since then I just keep her indoors when it's cold...
This is what happens to my cute little fluff ball when she's let outside on her own anyhow, so the sweater ends up getting pretty dirty! LOL :p

She was attacked by a Pit about 7 years ago - she's very skittish, especially around small kids so we keep her away from them. But, on her own she's the sweetest dog...Loves to bark!...I have no problems travelling when my wife is home alone... Two dogs: one a hunter with awesome senses and another a barker-give me peace of mind...

well i was at home sick today and went outside to pull the trashcan in . thats when the devil dog and makai snuck passed me and ran across the street and double teamed some innocent border collie. :rolleyes: however they do seem to take doggieludes out at the desert and relax. they'll get along :rollside:

You can see it in your dogs eyes how much she hates the sweater.I feel for you man,my wife has some crazy ideas as well,thats why I love her.I would much rather her dress up the dogs than try to mount a fifth wheel plate on top of the durango just so we can have a fifth wheel.Hows that for an idea? :idea:

Yes we let her walk on the boat with them. They have rubber no slip bottoms. The stay on her fine, we just make sure the velcro is snug.

You have no imagination....obviously your wife is a cool and thoughtful person! :crossx: She's trying to save you money by not getting a truck and she wants to please you in marital ways by getting a fifth wheel so you can "ride happy" even if the kids or other guests are with you in the desert! :p That woman sounds great! I think I love her! You should do something special for her this weekend..... something that involves flowers......firelight.....cheap wine..... :rollside: :)

I would have to agree that the sweater thing is pretty gay. The dogs are born with a coat so that they stay warm on their own. 100 years ago there were doggy sweaters, give me a break. Its just something more to spend our money on.

Shes a Brussles Griffon...a rare breed in the U.S. If you saw the movie As Good As It Gets with Jack Nickleson...thats the dog I have. She was a bday present 7 years ago.
I take her to the groomers at PetSmart and I cant walk out of there without a new dress or something. :)

oh, yeah, i saw that movie and the dog was a riot! i can totally understand why you'd want to dress up a dog like that. :) my guy is a poodle and i got him at the shelter. he was really skinny and dirty, looks nothing like he does now. here's a pic of him right after he was groomed this week.

Roxy wants to see pics of her sister! Did her spay go ok? And how much does she weight now, Roxy weighs 55 lbs. now and oh my gosh watch out for her tail. :)

I'll have to get some new ones.... the surgurey went fine, she didn't mess with the stitches of anything, a very good dog. She was all wiggy for a couple weeks, and I was worried that I had gone and screwed up a perfectly good dog... :rolleyes: I think it was her hair growing back that was driving her nuts, she's back to normal now.
Last time she was weighed, she was just a hair under 60 lbs... that "Lab tail of destruction" is in full affect now. :D
