It is set up for 10% over right now. Not sure what boost it will be. Gonna try and stay with pump gas. The dyno will tell.

:p how come the oil cooler and the heads aren't polished !!! :p
Looks good, Scott.
I still might polish the cooler. Something that is not really out in the open or noticable when in boat though. The heads probably should have been done. I thought it would look Ok with the other clear ano stuff i have. oh well little late now. I think it will still look good in boat though...

yah it finally came! No signifigance with covers. They came with a complete motor I bought. They were set up with the fittings and were in good shape, so I figured I would use them. Oh well I guess free advertising. The AN fittings are for lines to my Puke tank that will be on back of motor...
Hey Franky how about a Ride on Saturday...

What kind of Hp are you looking to make with that motor? I have a 598 just like that motor with intercooler, that made 1145 at 6600 RPM, being 14% overdriven with a 14 71 on top running race fuel. Just throwing it out there for comparison. The motor had AFR 357 CNC heads on it.

I am hoping to make 1K on pump gas. I might need to bump up the octane to achieve it. My cam set to pull up to 6000-6200 I guess well see. I was gonna go with a bigger blower, but Don Hampton said I really dont need it to make 1K ponies with this motor. I really hope he is right. He has been in the business a long time. My static Compression is 8.7

Nice motor John! I'm in the middle of building a 509 twin turbo for my cruiser. What fuel pump and regulator are you using? Boost referenced?

I am using a Clay Smith Mech Fuel Pump. It will be By-pass Regulated somewhat like this.
