just rebuilt pump an a stainless impeller with dps inducer ,first time out blowing gasket out between droop snoot and wedges,has a 2.937 insert in it now.??????????? turning 6700 rpms.(gullwing extra light layup)if i go to a bigger insert will this pick up top end and stop gasket blowout????????????

So by your RPM and "A" impeller i'm guessing 1000Hp+? And top speed at 100MPH, i would say something is wrong with these #'s. Most likely something wrong with your pump setup.

Yes, putting in a bigger nozzle is going to lower your bowl pressure and possibly relieve the "blown gasket syndrome", but it's not going to speed you up most likely. I would suggest temporarally running a pressure guage off your bowl to the dash area where you can see it.

Thats a rather small insert, try a 3.090 or 3.125 and see what happens.

After seeing this boat run in person I would say his numbers are pretty close.
I would like to know what the bowl pressure is also.

I don't believe that there should be gaskets between the wedges unless you are useing stainless wedges. I am assuming that you are useing the nylon ones that do not require gaskets.

What color insert is this?? Is the insert from Place or is it custome
