haha- I think I called you about 30 minutes after that HILL you were on :)
So, your speedo reads about 55-58mph, if you didn't reprogram your speedo...that means you were doing about 63-65mph...not that bad considering the rig you had that day...new DCB plus a jetski :)
Gotta love those Duramax's...oh, I'll let you know how the LBZ works out :) It might be time for you to think :Silverado, LBZ and Photoglou :rollside: :)

Not sure about that F250 thing, but I am on board with the Bentley...hottest car out there :)
If all goes well...maybe we can get a deal if we both buy one at the same time :)

Don't worry Toby you can justify it. After all, you need something to pull the fifth wheel, errrrrrr, I mean you need something to haul the Rhino in, errrrrrr, well at least you have a boat to pull now.
Seriously though, I have a hard time justifying my Duramax, until I have to tow the boat. Especially with fuel going up again. Won't be long until diesel is up over $3.00 again.

TOBY Tell Leisa that if you had a house in havasu, that you be able to save all kinds of money on fuel, leave the truck up there also, even one better get a place at the Islander and than you can have the best of both worlds. That's how all the Big ballers do it

Have any of you guys had a dyno pull on a 06 Duramax TD with the allison tranny ? Reason I'm asking , because I've witnessed 3 pulls on one last saturday and the figures were consistent 287 HP , 525 foot lbs . Are the advertized figures [ 360 HP , 650 footlbs ] rear wheel or SAE ? Just curious .

I was under the impression that the manufacturers always advertised the HP and Tq #'s at the flywheel.

Same here. Manufactures always advertise flywheel numbers not rear wheel.

Not, according to a dealer when you're asking ;) . They tell me it's rear wheel horsepower :argue: . It started in 1972 when horsepower were supposed to be net. my 72 challenger was rated 240 net at the wheel .
My merc engine is rated at the prop  , so I thought the industry should be standardized IMHO !
BTW , shouldn't loose 125 foot lbs torque through the drive train  .

I dont have a big baller boat, but i do pull a 21ft tunnel, pretty light. with the edge programmer set on 2 (towing) 33inch tires i get 16 mpg, pretty good i thought.
I also pulled a 26ft weekend warrior and got 14mpg fully loaded!!!!! :crossx:

Some of the 06's have the older engine with (i think) 310 HP, that might have been what was dynoed?

Hey Toby, there is hope. I added a Magnaflow cat back exhaust, and lost another mpg. So, if you throw more time and money at it, it can get worse. Get busy!!!! :rollside:

There was a dyno day yesterday in Ontario, CA. It was on a Mustang Dyno. 3 from the bottom is "Brian, stock 06 LBZ". The #'s seem close to what you were seeing.
